Works as a great replacement. I have a singer 15 as well as a copy 15. My singer 15 has this piece, the copy didn't. The original is slightly longer to account for some washers and the knob is quite a bit bigger. I took it to some hardware stores that had the right size but not the right thread. So I needed to find a proper replacement. You can find more expensive original parts, but this is cost effective and works great.

It works! I had to add a small washer, but it works. Now I sew without having to constantly watch the stitch length.
